UPDATE ON COVID SUPPORT POLICIES FOR PASSENGERS
Scope and Applicability:
– Applicable to passengers purchasing tickets on Vietravel Airlines-operated flights.
– Applicable to both refundable and non-refundable fare types.
– Flights departing from 19/12/2021 to 14/01/2022
Support Policies for Individual Passengers
– Name Change: One-time change free of charge (including change fee and fare difference if any).
– Date/Itinerary Change: One-time change free of charge, additional fare difference applies (if any).
– Refund: Free of charge, other refund conditions apply as per VU's current regulations, refund amount will be credited to the passenger's account within 45 days from the date of receipt of the passenger's request.
Support Policies for Tickets Issued under the Easy Pass Program:
– Name Change: Not allowed.
– Date/Itinerary Change: One-time change free of charge, additional fare difference applies (if any).
– Refund: Refund with a retained voucher within the Easy Pass flight validity period, no cash refund. Free of charge for voucher retention, other refund conditions apply as per VU's current regulations.
Terms and Conditions for Applying Support Policies
- Non-voluntary, force majeure cases eligible for support:
– Passengers falling under Covid treatment categories (F0), or medical isolation for Covid prevention and control (F1, F2,…) with confirmation as per the decision of competent authorities.
– Passengers with flight tickets issued prior to obtaining positive Covid test result confirmation from competent authorities, medical agencies, authorized clinics. Test results must be within 30 days prior to the departure date of the flight stated on the ticket.
– Passengers with tickets issued prior to authorities issuing documents changing regulations and restricting transportation conditions;
– Passengers with tickets issued prior to being mobilized as members of the mobile Covid prevention and control team at the request of competent authorities.
2. Conditions for applying support policies:
– Requests for acceptance must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of the first affected flight stated on the ticket. For requests made from 24 hours to 04 hours before the scheduled departure time of the affected flight, the support policy for date/itinerary changes applies.
– The new flight to be changed must be confirmed at least 04 hours before the scheduled departure time. The new departure date must be completed before 31/03/2022 (excluding peak periods: From 30/12/2021 to 03/01/2022; from 15/01/2022 to 14/02/2022) and subject to the operating schedule at the time of change;
– Cases where changing from an unsupported itinerary to a supported itinerary or changing from an unsupported passenger to a supported passenger (newly changed itinerary/passenger must have a history during the affected period) will not be supported under the policy.

3. Documents required for support in non-voluntary, force majeure cases
a. Documents proving passenger residence during the quarantine, isolation period including:
– Household Registration Book;
– Identity Card/Citizen Identification Card/Passport still valid;
– Documents from the competent authority confirming the passenger's requirement for home isolation or isolation in the sealed-off area by the local government;
– The confirmation document must clearly display information such as legal formality, implementation timeframe
of isolation or quarantine, confirmation date,…;
– Accompanying relatives (including parents, children, spouses, siblings) besides valid personal documents need to provide additional documents proving the relationship with the passenger such as marriage certificate, birth certificate, household registration.
b. Documents proving passengers with pre-issued flight tickets before testing positive for Covid:
– Identity Card/Citizen Identification Card/Passport still valid;
– Confirmation document of positive Covid test result from competent authority, medical organization, qualified clinic.
