Specifically, this announcement relates to the ability for players to change their registered region. Players will be able to switch regions from their initial registration location. The region switch will render players ineligible for ranked matches for 30 days. After the period, you can play ranked in the changed country/region. This announcement raises hopes in the gaming community that Honor of Kings may be globally released in the near future.

Many gamers are questioning whether their game data and rankings will be affected after 30 days without ranked matches. Additionally, changing regions/countries will impact losing access to your old chat channel, requiring the use of the new region's chat.

Furthermore, gamers should take note that in-game events will differ in each region. Sometimes, an activity you participated in the old region may not be present after switching. For players who frequently change regions, the game sets a limit of 180 days per switch.
