Situated within Old Town, this homestay rekindles travelers' memories with its simplistic bamboo interior, offering a cozy yet rustic vibe.
Tâm's Bamboo Homestay

Tâm's Bamboo Homestay is located on Đặng Trần Côn Street, Huế City. A mere 5-minute stroll from Huế Imperial City, guests can enjoy the tranquil Perfume River and the vibrant Trường Tiền Bridge at night. Surrounding the homestay are numerous eateries, street food stalls, cafes, and bubble tea shops.

Host Tâm Nguyễn, enamored by Huế's serene and poetic scenery, decided to lease a property long-term, transforming it into a retreat for travelers. Despite being only two years old, Tâm's Bamboo Homestay has garnered attention among travel enthusiasts on social media platforms and travel forums, including many international guests.
The address is also featured in the list of notable homestays and hotels in Huế in the book 'Guide du Routard Vietnam 2019 (Le Routard)' – a guidebook for French tourists visiting Vietnam.

The host reserves ground floor rooms for families, while guests stay separately on the second and third floors. We aim to ensure guests feel comfortable, like they're at home, and we're available to assist them at any time, said Ms. Tâm.

The guesthouse features 7 rooms, catering to various guest types and groups. Double rooms come with two beds, perfect for groups of 4 friends. Embracing a minimalist, rustic style, Ms. Tâm personally conceived and designed bamboo furnishings such as beds, baskets, and chairs to blend harmoniously with nature, promoting an eco-friendly environment.

The tranquil space, enhanced by bamboo lamps, traditional woven rugs, large curtains, and coordinating patterned bedding, provides guests with quality relaxation after a day of exploring Huế.

Many young couples, close friends, and lovers favor the spacious and airy single rooms on the second floor. The space is designed with large windows at the front and side, allowing guests to admire the refreshing scenery in the early morning or the city lights at night.

The rooms are adorned with captivating lotus-shaped bedside lamps, bamboo furniture sets, bamboo curtains, and ceiling decorations featuring unique bamboo baskets. The coordinated curtains complement the greenery outside. Additionally, many couples appreciate the delicate bamboo motifs on the walls, evoking nostalgia for the Vietnamese countryside.

The spacious family room offers ample space for children to play and for parents to rest and relax. All rooms are equipped with private bathrooms.

Bamboo has long been intertwined with the simple life of the Vietnamese people since ancient times. Nowadays, with modern living, many architectural structures, homes, and utensils no longer utilize bamboo, opting instead for plastic, wood, steel, and iron... Future generations are less likely to encounter simple bamboo beds. I aim to use bamboo products that are eco-friendly, easily recyclable, non-toxic, fostering environmental awareness and better protection... Ms. Tâm shared about her bamboo furniture concept.

The rooftop is adorned with sunbathing beds, relaxation spots, and chairs for guests to chat and mingle. White walls and red bricks evoke a friendly, simple atmosphere.

Guests can also sit and enjoy coffee, taking in the bustling cityscape from a corner of the rooftop.

What entices guests here is the opportunity to learn to cook and prepare Hue cuisine. Ms. Tâm offers cooking classes right at the homestay. After the trip, guests can recreate dishes like beef noodle soup and rice dumplings, reminiscent of their time in Huế. Many foreign guests are delighted to learn about these culturally and spiritually enriching culinary experiences during their visit to the ancient capital.
