Starting from April 1, 2017, individuals aged 55 and above from Vietnam can now enjoy a 30-day visa exemption when traveling to Uzbekistan, with an entry fee of 50 USD.
Uzbekistan Grants Visa Waiver for Vietnamese Tourists
According to the Tourism General Department, the Republic of Uzbekistan unilaterally implements a visa waiver policy for citizens of several countries, including Vietnam, for tourism purposes. This information has been communicated to international travel businesses by the Tourism General Department.

Uzbekistan, located in Central Asia along the renowned ancient Silk Road, enchants visitors with its splendid palaces, dazzling cathedrals, and bustling arched bazaars. The capital, Tashkent, is a must-visit destination. Some travel companies in Vietnam also offer tours to Uzbekistan combined with Kazakhstan over 8 days, priced around 50 million VND.
According to Passportindex, Vietnam ranks 77th in the list of the world's most powerful passports out of 95. Previously, 50 countries and territories granted visa exemptions to Vietnamese tourists. Vietnam currently offers visa exemptions for citizens of 22 countries, including unilateral exemptions for 13 countries and bilateral agreements with 9 countries.
