Hanoi, a land steeped in millennia of cultural heritage, boasts numerous historical relics, among them lies Voi Phuc Temple, casting a solemn hue amidst the vibrant heart of the capital.
Voi Phuc Temple: Tranquility amidst Hanoi's Bustling Core
Voi Phuc Temple stands as an ancient sanctuary situated at 362 Kim Ma Street, Ngoc Khanh Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. This temple is part of the ancient Thang Long Citadel's Western Quadrangle, alongside Bach Ma Temple in the East, Quan Thanh Temple in the North, and Kim Lien Temple in the South, hence also known as the West Quadrangle of Thang Long.

Voi Phuc Temple was recognized as a cultural heritage site by the Ministry of Culture - Information in 1962, becoming a pilgrimage destination and a renowned tourist spot in Hanoi that enthusiasts of nostalgia cannot overlook.

The temple's roof is crafted in the traditional style of ancient pagodas, with a curved tail soaring into the sky reminiscent of axe heads. Adorned above are delicately carved dragons, phoenixes, qilins, and chimeras, evoking a sense of venerable grandeur and solemnity.

The main sanctuary features 5 chambers with meticulously carved details, housing a drum on the left, a bronze bell on the right, and an intricately decorated golden throne at the center, topped with a statue of the deity Linh Lang, exuding an aura of nobility and righteousness.
The rear hall consists of 5 chambers entirely constructed from sturdy, glossy ebony wood. At the entrance, a pair of stone mythical creatures stand guard to preserve the building's tranquility. Inside, the mother of the deity Linh Lang and three Holy Mothers are worshipped.

Voi Phuc Temple attracts visitors with lively festivals on the 9th, 10th, and 11th days of the lunar New Year, featuring various entertaining activities. The highlight is the procession, adding a lively atmosphere to the festivities. Exploring here and taking photos for social media promises artistic and impressive imagery.
