(VTC1) 'Flight tickets scarcity' adds pressure to travelers' journeys back home for Tet

Every nearing Tet Lunar New Year, the narrative of Tet tickets back home garners significant attention from locals. In the year of 2024, the Year of the Dragon, many flights face ticket scarcity, and nearby tours are almost fully booked well in advance.

During Tet Giap Thin 2024, Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City expects around 900 flights taking off and landing, an increase of about 100 flights compared to regular days. Not only facing overcrowding at the airport, but many passengers also find it difficult to purchase Tet tickets according to their plans.

Furthermore, sharing with VTC 1 television reporters, a representative from Mytour Travel stated: 'Due to the 7-day holiday period, both domestic and international tour programs have garnered significant interest from travelers. Despite the soaring airfare, tour bookings have reached 60% capacity since the beginning of January 2024.'
