To brew the perfect cup of coffee, you'll need quality coffee beans. I usually divide 17 grams of coffee into individual pouches to streamline my mornings. These pouches come with one-way valves, keeping the coffee fresher for longer.
Next, grind the coffee beans to your desired consistency. Whether you prefer a coarse or fine grind, each level impacts the flavor profile of your cup.
Once the grinding is done, I'll utilize the WDT tool (The Weiss Distribution Technique), which helps evenly distribute and aerate the coffee grounds if your grinder tends to clump.
Next, use another tool called a 'distribution tool' to flatten the surface of the coffee grounds in the portafilter basket.
After leveling the surface, use the Tamper to compact the grounds firmly.
Just pop it into the coffee machine 😁. Before brewing, run a bit of water through to evenly heat the group head, which also helps stabilize the temperature during extraction.
I usually brew two cups: one espresso and one 'white coffee' for the missus.
:D
Wishing you all a joyful new week ahead!
