Highway 14G connects Quang Nam - Da Nang, stretching approximately 66km, where the war remnants are veiled by the green of the mountains. It's this greenery that paved the way for us to embark on our exploration journey.
Exploring Da Nang while meandering on Highway 14G

Starting from downtown Da Nang, we followed Route 14B to Km24 (Tuy Loan village, Hoa Khuong commune, Hoa Vang district) to kick off our journey before the sun fully rose.
After traveling about 10km, we encountered more rugged terrains, rocky paths, and winding roads. It felt unfamiliar yet tantalizing, igniting a sense of adventure for travelers seeking to break free from their mundane routines.
As fatigue set in from the altitude, a sign for the Ngam Doi eco-tourism site emerged amidst the cool morning mist. Despite having seen numerous images and heard tales of Ngam Doi, nothing could compare to witnessing its vivid beauty firsthand.
After parking our vehicles, we hiked to immerse ourselves in the majestic beauty of the cascading white waterfalls, the scattered rocks. Everyone took advantage of the flat stone benches to relax, gazing at the peaceful sky and rejuvenating for the journey ahead.

Continuing on Highway 14G, it elevates us to about 2km high. In the distance, amidst the vast forests, we spotted towering ancient trees and along the roadside, some phoenix trees stubbornly blooming late flowers under the crisp late summer sun.
As we approached the pass, our excitement peaked upon encountering bold white letters: 'Mountain of Wealth,' where resort developments are underway.
The vehicle continued its ascent. The wind grew stronger, followed by a howling sound. A mix of thrill and excitement surged as we sat behind the wheel navigating through long, winding, and perilous slopes.
The group followed the scattered houses along the mountain ridge when suddenly, the entrance to Hoa Stream appeared on the right side of the road.
Pausing, on both sides of the stream, thousands of flowers blossomed, captivating our hearts. Most striking was the headwater waterfall, where visitors freely surrendered to the white waters, indulging in dreams to love even more the wandering charm of the wilderness.

As the cool afternoon descended, Highway 14G still meandered, winding around the last kilometers before merging into the Ho Chi Minh Trail amidst the Truong Son mountains.
The late afternoon stretched over the green rice fields. White clouds hovered amidst the mountainside like a staircase leading to the sky. Occasionally, we encountered streams cascading down from the cool mountain forests, countless tea hills sprawling like lush green carpets, mesmerizing...
The picturesque mountain scenery unfolded like a painting as we passed beyond Kein Pass into Quang Nam province. Suddenly, the cool breeze of Dong Giang resembled Dalat, oddly familiar...
The great mountains of Quang land. The wind ceased, all hardships left behind, only the melodious sound of Cơ Tu gongs echoing in the midnight, the sacred fire still flickering in the wine jars, and the azure eyes gleaming beside the stilt houses, all as promised.
And you, why not venture when the green 14G road in the western land of Quang still beckons daily?
