Ingredients for spicy tofu (serves 4)
– 600g fresh tofu
– 150g minced pork
– 3 tomatoes
– Some dried shallots
– 2 teaspoons of chili paste
– 2 teaspoons of oyster sauce
- 1 large piece of ginger
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 chili pepper
– Green onions, cilantro
– Cooking oil, soy sauce, sugar
How to Make Delicious Spicy Tofu Sauce
Step 1: Finely chop ginger, dried shallots, garlic, and chili. Heat some cooking oil, add ginger, garlic, chili, and dried shallots to the pan and stir-fry until fragrant. Then add minced meat and stir-fry until the meat changes color. Once cooked, transfer to a separate bowl.

Step 2: Cut fresh tofu into small square pieces about 1.5cm thick.

Step 3: Peel and chop the tomatoes, remove the seeds, and dice. Add the tomatoes to the pan, stir-fry until softened into a sauce-like consistency, then add the cooked meat, oyster sauce, and chili paste. Stir well for about 5 minutes until all ingredients are evenly seasoned.

Step 4: Add sugar and soy sauce to the pan, stir well for a while, then add 45ml of water (half a small bowl) and let it simmer. Add the cut tofu into the mixture. Tofu is very delicate, so to prevent it from breaking, gently shake the pan to evenly coat the tofu.

Step 5: Finally, add finely chopped green onions and cilantro, season to taste, then turn off the heat and serve.
