The humble wooden boats docked at the pier will give you a sense of touching some remote and rustic place rather than the most dynamic city in Vietnam.

When visiting Thanh An Island, don't forget to indulge in the local specialties. Although not as abundant as in Can Gio, the prices are very reasonable due to the local fishermen's catch. Crabs, squids, shrimps, all priced around 80,000 - 150,000 VND/kg. You can buy them and ask the locals to cook and enjoy right there.

Despite being a small island, the snacks here are diverse. The eateries are concentrated on the main street in the center of the island. You can choose from various snacks such as banana with syrup, sweet soup, tiny coconut pancakes, coconut noodle rolls, broken rice, noodles, pho, clam porridge, ... And make sure to taste the baguette, banana ice cream, fertilized duck eggs,... here! Coming here not only lets you enjoy the cool and fresh atmosphere but also the delicious food, which will make you appreciate the locals and the land even more.

Some notes when visiting Thanh An Island:
- The last ferry leaves at 5 pm, so you don't have to worry if some transportation services suggest taking you to the pier as early as 3:30 pm.
- The ferry ride to Thanh An Island takes about 30-45 minutes. If you are prone to seasickness, you can prepare a mask and motion sickness medicine in advance.
