What does Lyney need in his team?

Lyney employs a mechanism to self-inflict wounds to accumulate Defensive Artifacts. Additionally, his preferred artifact set, the Marechaussee Hunter, also boosts critical hit rates upon alteration. Therefore, unlike Hu Tao or Yoimiya, who typically prioritize shield-bearing characters over healers,

Which healer for Lyney?

So, who's the ideal healer for Lyney? None other than Bennett. Until this moment, Bennett remains the best attack buff character in the game, accompanied by exceptional healing capabilities, requiring only C1 to excel. The current 4.0 version event offers a free Bennett, making obtaining this character even easier. You could substitute Bennett with another healer, but this would significantly reduce Lyney's damage output.

Regardless of the healer chosen, Mytour advises you to build sufficient healing ability to ensure Lyney maintains health above 60% and accumulates Defensive Artifacts with each charged shot usage. This typically entails equipping healing bonus headgear, HP goblets, and recharge timepieces (depending on the character).

Shield-bearing and interruption-resistant characters

Unlike healers, we have plenty of shield and interruption resistance options for Lyney. Here are the names that Mytour came up with:

Dehya: This is one of the characters capable of providing both Pyro effects and interruption resistance. She can't create shields, but at least she can help reduce Lyney's damage and ensure he doesn't 'bite the dust' while aiming.

Thoma, Xinyan, Yanfei: These are Pyro characters capable of creating shields for Lyney (Xinyan needs C2 while Yanfei needs C4). Each character has a different advantage, and none are really 'perfect fits' when paired with Lyney but they can all 'add fuel to the fire' to make Lyney stronger.

Zhongli: One of the top choices for players when shields are needed. Besides having the thickest shield in the current game, Zhongli has a 20% Pyro resistance reduction effect, making Lyney's damage considerably higher.

Layla, Kirara: These two characters have the ability to create very sturdy shields so Lyney can fight with peace of mind. They can also provide a bit of damage through Discharge (Layla) and Burn (Kirara), although this damage is completely negligible.

Diona, Baizhu: These '2-in-1' characters, both healers and shield creators, can help Lyney save slots in the team lineup, adding an extra DPS to the team. However, currently, the game lacks any good Pyro sub-DPS besides Xiangling.

However, for the past few years, miHoYo has been quietly nerfing this character by releasing enemies that cannot be sucked in. Nevertheless, in the Spiral Abyss with many small enemies, Venti is still the perfect choice when you need to gather enemies for Lyney.

Klee (C2): With the ability to reduce enemy defenses and wielding the Dragon's Bane, plus being Pyro, Klee is one of Lyney's best damage buff characters. Of course, her downside is consuming too much Resin.
