Cao Chu Mong, also known as Go Jumong, was the first king of Cao Cao Ly. He was the founder of ancient Korea. Throughout history, this kingdom has repeatedly resisted Chinese invasions. In 589, Emperor Tùy Văn of the Tùy Dynasty led 300,000 troops to attack Cao Cao Ly but failed.
From 612 to 614, the Tùy Dynasty launched several unsuccessful invasions. During the transition from the Tùy Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, Cao Cao Ly built fortifications. This construction played a role in resisting the Tang Dynasty's invasion. Later, the kingdom of Cao Cao Ly allied with Baekje to attack Silla. At that time, Silla sought help from the Tang Dynasty.

The Tang Dynasty collaborated with Silla to eliminate Baekje, isolating Cao Cao Ly. By the year 666, internal conflicts arose within Cao Cao Ly, leading to its gradual weakening. In 668, it was defeated by the Tang Dynasty and Silla, marking the end of a prosperous era.
