With its modern, vibrant space and exciting fashion stalls, Zone 87 is undoubtedly a destination that young Saigonese must pay attention to in the near future.
What's in Zone 87 – the new entertainment and shopping complex by Midu for the young in Saigon?
Recently, news of an upcoming dining and shopping complex right on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street has thrilled many people. It's even more special as the owner of this new establishment is Midu – who has successfully organized many weekend fairs in Saigon. After over two months of construction, on the morning of November 19, the Zone 87 officially opened and began welcoming guests.
Talking about
Covering a total area of over 1,000m², this complex boasts a total of 60 stalls. Besides fashion stores, Zone 87 also places great emphasis on cuisine with half of the stalls serving the dining needs of the youth, offering bubble tea, tart cakes, mixed rice paper, Asian eateries, Vietnamese dishes, and more...
Contrary to initial expectations of a cramped space with stalls tightly packed, Zone 87 turns out to be spacious, airy, and much more comfortable. You can leisurely shop and dine here without worrying about overcrowding or rushing because of fear of bumping into people behind you like in other shopping areas.
It is known that Midu took a long time to find the current favorable location of Zone 87. Midu's criteria for choosing the location for Zone 87 had to be an open, comfortable, spacious, airy, and unrestricted space. In addition, the location must be in the center of Saigon and above all, located on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.
As soon as you step into Zone 87, you will see a long alley with over a dozen food stalls offering many delicious dishes of young Saigonese. Next is the main area including various fashion shops, other eateries, and common living spaces. All the shops are housed in glasshouses with air conditioners running all day long to provide comfort for customers.
The spacious courtyard right in the center of Zone 87 is the biggest difference of this place compared to other entertainment and shopping areas. This will be where young people sit, eat, chat, and rest after a tiring shopping spree. On weekends or during events, this courtyard will become a stage for people to gather, sing, and enjoy music.
Zone 87 can be seen investing quite a bit in terms of design. Surrounding this complex are a series of picturesque photo background settings, beautiful photobooth corners for young people to take photos and check-in. Moreover, these decoration elements will be periodically changed to create a fresh feeling for everyone.
To complete this complex, Midu spent nearly a year conceptualizing and executing the project. Zone 87 is a model that Midu learned from the entertainment models of young people in Thailand and South Korea.
Midu shared during the opening ceremony: “As a startup ourselves, Midu not only wants Zone 87 to be a place for young people to have fun but also wants to provide opportunities for other young people to start up with different business models. Here, young people can rent their own stall, do business in their own way, and decorate according to their own style.”
With its prime location, good aesthetic taste, and a wide range of choices from shopping to dining, plus space for relaxation and rest – Zone 87 is sure to become the new hangout spot for the youth of Saigon.
