The Ambient Mode for Google Assistant was first revealed in September, purportedly launched, according to Google. This mode displays useful information directly on the lock screen when your Android phone or tablet is charging. Through a demo video about Ambient Mode today and a tweet from the Android account, users have gradually gained a better understanding of this mode.

So, what is Ambient Mode? It's an amazing feature. Essentially, it transforms your Android phone and tablet into a smart screen to display information like calendar events, weather updates, notifications, reminders, music controls, and smart home devices. Moreover, you can even showcase photos from Google Photos and access Google Assistant with a single tap. To conserve energy, Ambient Mode only operates when your Android device is charging.
Google says that Ambient Mode is now available on select devices running Android 8.0 and above, with Sony Xperia, Nokia, Transsion, and Xiaomi phones among the first names on the supported list.
