Alongside conventional epidemiological tracing methods in combating COVID-19, deploying and utilizing the Bluezone app is one of the effective and rapidly implemented measures.
1. What is Bluezone?
Bluezone is an application that alerts users to close contacts with Covid-19 cases (F0, F1, F2) developed by BKAV and its partner companies. Bluezone operates through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, exchanging data between smartphones within a 2m range and recording contact logs within the app.
Before installing Bluezone, you need to enable Bluetooth connection. After turning on Bluetooth on your device, please access the following links to download the corresponding app:

Step 1: Open the app, enter your phone number (1) => Continue (2) to register your information. Next, enter the OTP code (3) sent to your phone number to confirm.
Step 2: Input your name and accurate address (1) for the app to collect health data and trace accurately in case of exposure or infection. Click Send (2) to submit the information => Begin using (3).
Step 3: Tap OK (1) to start using => Allow (2) to grant notification permission.
Step 4: To check the number of close contacts within the day, touch Exposure History.
4. The benefits that Bluezone provides in combating the Covid-19 pandemic
Epidemiological tracing
Thanks to Bluezone, authorities and doctors can easily trace infected individuals from F0 to F1, F2… and report these cases through the application. The app will alert you of close contacts with suspected cases and help you determine the time of exposure to suspected individuals and preventive measures.
Receive notifications, latest news on the epidemic situation, epidemic prevention work
The epidemic situation, current affairs news that people care about regarding our country's epidemic prevention efforts are all provided in the application, making it easy for users to search. If you set priority notifications, new updates and announcements from the application will be displayed on your phone's lock screen.
Health declaration
You can make a health declaration right in the Bluezone app and provide your information as you pass through health declaration points for authorities to monitor your status.
Step 1: In the app, touch the Utilities (1) menu => Health declaration (2).
Next, touch the Health declaration menu and fill in your personal information.
Step 2: Touch the Submit declaration menu after completing the information. After submitting the health declaration, you will be issued a QR code, which is used to scan when passing through checkpoints for authorities to obtain information about you.

The QR code scanning feature helps people update information and check-in, check-out when passing through checkpoints or helps authorities track your profile created in the Health Declaration section. You can scan the QR code by selecting the Utilities (1) menu in the main interface of Bluezone => Scan QR code (2).
With the advent of digital technology and the introduction of Bluezone, Covid-19 prevention and epidemiological tracing have become more convenient. Although Bluezone is not a mandatory installation, to ensure health for yourself and the community, please install and use Bluezone on each smart device you use!
