Troubleshooting Missing PCI Drivers on Windows 7, 8, 10
Please note, the screenshots provided in the article are extracted from Windows 7, but all troubleshooting methods apply similarly on Wins 8 & 10.
Method 1: Updating PCI Drivers via Device Manager
If you're uncertain about the manufacturer's website, utilize the device ID to locate the precise driver:
Step 1: Press the Windows logo key + R simultaneously, then type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
Step 2: Select Other devices. Double-click on
Step 3: In the Details section, choose Hardware Ids from the list.
Step 4: Copy the first hardware ID in the list
Step 5: Paste it into the search tool. Add some keywords like driver or operating system name.
Step 6: Download the appropriate driver from the list. Then, install the driver following the provider's instructions.
Method 3: Automatically Update PCI Driver
If you lack the time or necessary computer skills to manually update drivers, you can automatically update PCI Drivers using Driver Easy software. The program will automatically identify your system and find the correct drivers.
Step 1: Download and install DriverEasy software.
Step 2: Activate Driver Easy and click on the Scan Now button. Then, the software will scan your computer and detect missing or faulty drivers.
Step 3: Press the Update button next to the PCI device name to automatically download and install the appropriate driver version (for both Free & Pro versions); or press Update All to automatically download and install the appropriate version for all missing or outdated drivers on your computer (Pro version only).
