Reachability is a useful feature on iPhone, iPad for users with large screens but small hands. To understand more about Reachability, follow this article!

1. What is Reachability?
In the past, during the era of the popular iPhone 5/5S, Apple confidently claimed that large screen sizes were unnecessary. However, with the advent of iPhone 6/6s Plus, equipped with considerably large screens, this narrative was proven wrong. While large screens offer advantages, they also pose limitations for one-handed operation. Apple acknowledged this and devised a feature to address the issue of restricted usability on large screens.

Apple's response to this is the Reachability feature, which debuted on iPhone 6s Plus and later on smaller-sized models like iPhone 7, iPhone 8, and iPhone X.
Reachability operates by sliding the screen downwards, effectively allowing you to utilize only half of the screen's total area. This makes accessing notifications, control panels, or actions at the top corners of the screen much easier.

For individuals with smaller hands, this Apple feature serves as a valuable aid, eliminating the need to use their other hand to swipe across the top corners of the screen. Overall, this feature remains highly useful and is still maintained by Apple, especially as newer iPhone models continue to increase in size, such as the iPhone 12 Pro Max with its 6.7-inch screen.
2. How to enable or disable the Reachability feature on iPhone, iPad
Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone, iPad.

Step 2: Next, navigate to Accessibility => Touch.

Step 3: Finally, simply activate the Reachability feature in settings to complete the process.
