On January 29th, Apple released the latest updates for operating systems across iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, Mac, HomePod, and Apple TV devices. iOS 13.3.1 is the most significant update, but it's an incremental one, focusing on fixing bugs or addressing user complaints and privacy concerns. So, what's new in iOS 13.3.1?
New Features in iOS 13.3.1:
- Resolved issues with Communication Limits allowing contacts to be added without entering Screen Time password.
- Added a setting to control the usage of location services by the U1 chip with Ultra Wideband technology.
- Fixed a temporary delay issue when editing Deep Fusion photos captured on iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro.
- Addressed a Mail issue causing remote images not to load, even when Load Remote Images setting is turned off.
- Fixed a bug causing multiple undo dialogs to appear in Mail.
- Resolved a push notification issue that may not be delivered over Wi-Fi.
- Fixed a FaceTime issue using the ultra-wide rear camera instead of the wide camera.
- Addressed a CarPlay issue causing distorted sound during phone calls in certain vehicles.
- Added support for Indian English in Siri for HomePod.
Within one or two weeks of release, users may receive notifications of an available update and be prompted to download. If you don't want to wait, you can force the download by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
