When is the best time to travel to Phan Thiet - Mui Ne?
The weather in Phan Thiet is usually hot and dry, with an average temperature of around 27 degrees Celsius. You can visit here any day of the year, but the best time to enjoy the waves is from August to December. From November to April is the windy season. July is the peak tourist month, offering the most discounted holiday prices of the year.
Transportation
From Hanoi: Currently, there are no direct flights from Hanoi to Phan Thiet. Therefore, if you want to travel to Mui Ne, you can fly from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, then travel to Mui Ne by car. Alternatively, you can fly from Hanoi to Cam Ranh, then take an Open Tour bus from Nha Trang to Phan Thiet - Mui Ne.
From Saigon: There are numerous daily bus routes from Saigon to Mui Ne, Hon Rom by Saigon bus company or from the Eastern bus station. Additionally, you can take a train from Saigon to Phan Thiet, then take a motorbike taxi or taxi to Mui Ne.
Affordable hotels in Phan Thiet?
The resort areas in Mui Ne are fully equipped with modern amenities, air conditioning, and cable TV, with prices ranging from 150,000 to 250,000 VND including breakfast. Besides, tent rental here is much lower, only 70,000 to 80,000 VND. In the Hon Rom area, tents have relatively clean public toilets and serve complimentary drinking water.
What to eat in Mui Ne?

Mui Ne Market: Food in the market is often cheap and diverse. Specialties here include Mai fish, Suot fish, Snapper fish, and various types of dried fish.
Ho Xuan Huong Street: Many breakfast food stalls here offer meals ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 VND, including grilled ribs with rice, Quang noodles, pho, etc.
At the intersection of Ho Xuan Huong - Huynh Thuc Khang streets, there are many eateries serving specialty dishes at night such as soup, duck eggs, noodles, and affordable ice cream.

Shopping for souvenirs
You can purchase fresh squid and cuttlefish directly from the squid processing factories located away from the center of Mui Ne. Squid, ranging from 20-25cm, is priced at 80,000 VND/kg, while cuttlefish is priced at 45,000 VND. Moreover, the Four-Star Fish Sauce brand is also a renowned product in Phan Thiet, ideal for gifting to friends and family.

Travel tip
Due to the sunny and dry weather here, it's advisable to carry the following items: mineral water, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals, and flip-flops. During the lunar months of May and June, Mui Ne Beach is often affected by red tide pollution, so swimming is not recommended during this time.
