Introducing testing system, tweaking Vikendi snow map in PUBG PC
Detailed Content of PUBG 5.2 Update
1. PUBG Labs
PUBG Labs serves as a space where developers collaborate with the community and players to experiment with new game modes, rule sets, features, and more. Player feedback on the systems and trials conducted within PUBG Labs directly benefits the community, shaping player priorities.
- Thorn Traps, also known as Spike Traps, can puncture the tires of any vehicle passing over the spike strip.
+ Each Spike Trap can only damage one vehicle before it disappears.
+ Spike Traps puncture vehicle tires but do not damage the vehicle overall.
- Spike Traps appear in proportion to other throwable items on the map in the game.
- You can deploy a Spike Trap by selecting it and pressing LMB. Once you've placed a Spike Trap, you cannot retrieve it.
3. Vikendi Update
The update also brings some changes to the Vikendi map, changes that will make it easier for players to engage in duels. More vehicles will spawn on the map to help you navigate through the white cotton-like snow, but be cautious of Thorn Traps on snowy hillsides or landslides that will bring you down.
- Terrain Enhancements
+ New roads have been added to ease movement through some of Vikendi's snowy areas.
+ The number of vehicles on the map has increased and their positions adjusted.
- Improved Towns
+ Volnova has been reshaped, buildings and driving routes have been modified.
+ The number of items in Peshkova has increased.
+ The vehicle spawn area in Trevno has been relocated.
+ Some buildings have been removed or replaced with different ones to enhance gameplay, and sightlines from tall buildings have been adjusted following structural changes.
- Game Balancing
+ The blue zone on Vikendi has been adjusted to allow players to strategize with more diverse route choices.
+ The size of the safe zone has increased.
+ Blue Zone speeds have been increased.
+ The randomness of Blue Zone locations throughout the match has been slightly increased.
+ Vehicle positions have been adjusted to balance the new Blue Zones.
4. Introducing Way Point Feature
- The Way Point feature has been added for you to plan strategic routes.
- You can only use this feature when the map is open (M key).
- Press ALT + mouse to set the first point while holding ALT, and click elsewhere to add points. You can release ALT to remove the starting point.
- You can set a maximum of 4 points per Way Point group.
- Press ALT + Del to delete set Way Points. When you set a new starting point elsewhere, the current Way Points will disappear.
- In Duo/Squad mode, when teammates set Way Points, they will appear on the map with Radio Messages. You can change settings to not display Way Points from the Team Management menu in the game.
Above is the entire content that will appear in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds when they are updated to version 5.2. You can access the PUBG test server to experience new versions, features, and game modes before they are released.
