Xiaomi Pad 6 unexpected specifications leak (update: 22/06)
Following the release of Xiaomi Pad 5 in August 2021, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its successor named Xiaomi Pad 6. Recently, the EEC database leaked certifications related to Pad 6. The device is expected to come in 3 different variants: L81, L81A, L82.

Many Xiaomi enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the 6th generation of the Xiaomi Pad tablet. Looking back, Xiaomi previously officially released the Xiaomi Pad 5 in August last year, which was a success beyond the company's expectations.

However, compared to the Xiaomi Pad 5, the successor still has many areas that need to be upgraded. Previously, the Xiaomi Pad 5 was equipped with the Snapdragon 860 processor. Therefore, the Xiaomi Pad 6 may need to have a new generation processor as well as other hardware upgrades over its predecessor.

According to information from Gizmochina, one of the versions of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series has been spotted through certification documents in China. The certification documents reveal the specific model number of the device as 22081281AC. Going back in time, the Xiaomi Pad 5 was also previously spotted through certification documents with the model number M2105K81C. Moreover, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is said to come in 3 different versions: Xiaomi Pad 6 (L81), Pad 6 Pro (L81A), and Pad 6 Pro 5G (L82).

Among the aforementioned versions, a mid-range device (possibly the Xiaomi Pad 6) is equipped with a 2K resolution screen, 120 Hz refresh rate, and features the Snapdragon 870 chip similar to its predecessor. The advantage of this device is that it will have a relatively affordable price compared to the other versions.

Xiaomi Pad 6 specifications continue to surface with a 2.5K display, 120 Hz refresh rate, and flagship-grade Snapdragon chip (update: 02/06)
Back in August 2021, Xiaomi unveiled the duo of tablets, the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, which garnered special attention from many users. Following that success, the Chinese manufacturer is reportedly planning to release the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. On June 2nd, the website Playfuldroid shared the key technical specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi Pad series.

According to the leaks, the standard Xiaomi Pad 6 with the abbreviated model number L8x will feature a display supporting 2.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor and support 5G connectivity. Just to recall Xiaomi Pad 5 for comparison, it was equipped with the Snapdragon 860 processor along with an 11-inch IPS LCD display, Full HD+ resolution, and 120 Hz refresh rate.

Other leaked sources suggest that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will have the abbreviated model numbers: L81, L8A1A, L82, and L83. One of these devices is rumored to debut in the market under the name Redmi Pad 5G. Currently, it remains unclear whether any premium model of the Pad 6 series will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, but I hope this will happen.

Xiaomi Pad 6 specifications will feature the Dimensity 8100 chip
The configuration of Xiaomi Pad 6 is something I want to share with you right away because it's really something I'm excited about! According to leaked information from Notebookcheck, Xiaomi Pad 6 is very likely to be equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chip, which is a significant and worthwhile upgrade compared to the Snapdragon 860 on the Xiaomi Pad 5 last year.

Speaking a bit about the Dimensity 8100, this processor is manufactured on a 5nm process, consisting of 8 cores: 4 Cortex-A78 cores with speeds up to 2.85 GHz and 4 Cortex-A55 cores with speeds up to 2.0 GHz. At the Redmi K50 launch event, which also uses the Dimensity 8100, Xiaomi mentioned that the performance of the Dimensity 8100 can rival that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

If this information is true, then there's no need to worry too much about the performance of Xiaomi Pad 6 in the future as the Dimensity 8100 can easily meet entertainment and work needs. Regarding the memory capacity, I think the device will still have a similar configuration to its predecessor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage, which is enough for multitasking with many applications. However, I believe the device should also have an 8 GB RAM variant for users who need to use multiple apps simultaneously or perform many tasks.

Regarding the battery capacity, due to the performance upgrade, Xiaomi Pad 6 is also likely to be equipped with a larger battery. The Pad 5 last year was equipped with an 8,720 mAh battery, and in this successor version, I estimate the device will have around a 9,000 mAh battery. With a 9,000 mAh battery capacity, Xiaomi Pad 6 promises to provide users with long working and gaming hours. I still don't know what charging capacity the device will have, so as soon as I find out, I'll update you all!

It's somewhat disheartening because these are still just the initial leaks, so I don't have information about the camera of Xiaomi Pad 5 yet. I think since it's a tablet and cameras aren't necessarily a focal point or heavily upgraded, Xiaomi Pad 6 might still maintain the same camera specs as its predecessor with a 13 MP main sensor, or perhaps Xiaomi will add a second camera to the device.
According to the latest leaks, the specifications of Xiaomi Pad 6 are as follows:
- Display: 11-inch size, LTPO AMOLED, 2K resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels).
- CPU: Dimensity 8100 (likely).
- RAM: 6 GB.
- Internal Storage: 128 GB or 256 GB.
- Main Camera: 13 MP.
- Battery: 9,000 mAh (likely).
Xiaomi Pad 6 shares the same design as its predecessor
The design of Xiaomi Pad 5 last year really impressed me with its slim and lightweight build, along with an aluminum frame and a square, masculine, and powerful look. So if Xiaomi Pad 6 reuses this beautiful frame design, I wouldn't be too surprised or disappointed.

Additionally, Xiaomi Pad 6 will have a camera module similar to the Xiaomi 12 Series devices. Why is that? Because Xiaomi Pad 5 has a camera module that looks very similar to the camera module of the Xiaomi 11 Series, with a rectangular module with rounded corners. Therefore, when Xiaomi Pad 6 is released, it is very likely that the device will also have a camera module similar to devices in the Xiaomi 12 Series.

I believe Xiaomi Pad 6 will be upgraded in terms of specifications, while the screen size may remain at 11 inches like the previous generation. Anyway, I think 11 inches is large enough for us to use with a wide display space, suitable for multitasking and viewing more content. So, I don't think the screen size needs to be upgraded anymore.

Additionally, the display capability of the device will be upgraded. According to information from Notebookcheck, Xiaomi Pad 6 may use an LTPO AMOLED panel instead of the IPS LCD screen combined with a 120 Hz refresh rate and many advanced display technologies like on Xiaomi Pad 5.
When will Xiaomi Pad 6 be released? How much will Xiaomi Pad 6 cost?
Regarding the release date, Notebookcheck has cited information from XiaomiUI and indicated that Xiaomi Pad 6 is likely to be unveiled in August this year. Specifically, Pad 6 was discovered on the website with EEC certifications and the model number 22081283G, and the first 4 digits '2208' could very well represent the release date of Xiaomi Pad 6 as August 22, 2022.

Additionally, a Weibo leaker named Digital Chat Stationg revealed that Xiaomi Pad 6 will come in 3 versions: Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro 5G. So, in just over 2 months, we'll get to see the Xiaomi Pad 6 Series launch. Xiaomi Pad is a tablet series I really like, so when I heard the news that it will be released in August, I'm very excited and looking forward to it. I still don't know the predicted price of the device, so I'll update the article as soon as I find out for your reference.

The recent leaks provide a glimpse into the Xiaomi Pad 6. How do you perceive this tablet? In my opinion, Xiaomi Pad 6 is a tablet worth looking forward to in the upcoming period due to its many appealing features coupled with robust performance and a large battery.
