While Apple is making headlines with the release of the purple versions of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, Samsung's decision to introduce the Galaxy S20 FE with Snapdragon 865 chip seems puzzling.

The difference between the recently launched S20 FE and the previous version
Samsung began rolling out the S20 Fan Edition – S20 FE in September 2020, targeting dedicated Samsung fans. With some customizations, the Galaxy S20 FE offers users a premium smartphone experience at a more affordable price point, catering to a wider audience.
The difference between the 2021 version and the 2020 version of the S20 FE lies in two factors:
The 2021 version of S20 FE utilizes Snapdragon 865 chip, whereas the previous version used Exynos 990. Despite their equivalent power, the two chips differ in usage.
The 2021 S20 FE model comes with 4G network connectivity, while the previous version had 5G capabilities similar to other Galaxy S20 series.
Additionally, there's a difference in the pricing of these two versions.

How much does the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G cost?
The expected price in Europe (specifically in Sweden) for the Galaxy S20 FE 4G (using Snapdragon 865 chip) is 630 Euros – equivalent to 17.5 million Vietnamese dong. Whereas the Exynos variant of S20 FE is priced around 700 Euros – equivalent to 19.5 million Vietnamese dong.
Previously, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G was released in the Vietnamese market with a retail price of 16 million Vietnamese dong, offering a total of 5 different color options including purple, green, blue, orange, and white.
Hence, it's anticipated that if sold in Vietnam, the Galaxy S20 FE would be priced around 14 million Vietnamese dong. Consequently, compared to the 5G version, this 4G variant will emerge as a more budget-friendly and suitable choice for the majority of users. And undoubtedly, with the features it's equipped with, the Galaxy S20 FE 4G will present a significant challenge to its competitors in the upper mid-range smartphone segment.
