What notable upgrades does the Hasselblad X1D II 50C camera have?
Compared to the 2016 version, the design of the Hasselblad X1D II 50C remains unchanged, but the specifications have been significantly improved: faster image processing speed, quicker startup time, reduced shutter lag, more user-friendly menu interface... In short, there are many changes, but one change that everyone will surely be interested in is the price.

As per reports, this mirrorless camera will have a retail price of 5750 USD (approximately 134 million VND), which is 3000 USD lower than its predecessor (the X1D was launched at 9000 USD, roughly 210 million VND). So, what can we expect from this high-end camera?
Design
As mentioned, the exterior of the X1D II 50C remains unchanged from its predecessor. However, on the back of the camera, the screen resolution has been increased from 920,000 dots to 2.36 million dots, with a screen size of 3.6 inches. This is considered the largest screen available currently as most digital cameras hover around 3 inches and 3.2 inches.

The OLED viewfinder of the camera has also been upgraded from 2.36 million to 3.69 million dots, with a magnification of 0.87x and a display speed of 60 frames per second.
Performance
The data processing capability of the X1D II 50C has been significantly enhanced thanks to the new generation processor. Specifically, its continuous shooting speed has increased by 0.4 frames per second, reaching 2.7 frames per second compared to the previous model.
The imaging sensor and autofocus system remain unchanged. The 50-megapixel CMOS sensor has been utilized in several Hasselblad cameras for years, yet the autofocus system still lags behind. Hasselblad claims that the camera's performance has been enhanced to support better autofocus performance, but this is not a significant improvement over the 2016 X1D.

Furthermore, the X1D II 50C can be charged via USB-C, meaning it can be powered by a power bank without relying heavily on direct power sources.
Connectivity
Lastly, Hasselblad has updated the Phocus Mobile iOS app, allowing users to now download RAW or JPEG images onto iPad Pro and iPad Air (2019) and connect mobile devices to the camera via wifi or USB-C port.
When is the X1D II 50C launching? What's the price?
The Hasselblad X1D II 50C is set to launch in July 2019. Its starting price is $5750 (approximately 134 million VND). Additionally, the company is introducing the 35-75mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens for the XCD systems, priced at $5175 (120 million VND) and slated for release in October.
