The Best Time to Visit Koh Chang


From November to May every year is the best time to visit Koh Chang, with golden sunshine, blue sea, and not overly hot weather. From June to October is the rainy season, so services are limited, and the weather is not favorable.
How to Get to Koh Chang?

From Vietnam, you'll fly to Bangkok airport. There are plenty of airlines with various price options like Air Asia, Nok Air, Thai Airways, Qatar Airlines...
In Bangkok, you can choose between two ways to get to Koh Chang: by domestic flight or by bus. If you choose to fly, you can buy tickets from domestic airlines. The flight takes 1 hour, and the ticket price is about 80USD/one way.
If you want to go to Koh Chang from Suvarnabhumi airport, there's a shuttle service from the airport to Koh Chang, priced at 600 baht/one way, 900 baht/round trip, including the ferry ticket to the island and transfer to the resort.
What to Do on Koh Chang?


The two famous beaches here are White Sand Beach and Lonely Beach, with long stretches of white, fine sand and plenty of exciting activities like surfing, and parachuting...
Besides beach relaxation, Koh Chang offers numerous exciting outdoor activities for adventurous souls, such as joining a 5-island tour and snorkeling, fishing on traditional wooden boats. Tour prices range around 900 baht/person.
You can also enjoy Elephant Trekking or explore and swim at Klong Plu (Klong Prao) waterfall, Than Mayom waterfall, Klong Jao Leuam, Klong Nonsi (Dan Mai), Klong Neung... or kayaking. Alternatively, indulge in massage, spa, or participate in yoga and meditation classes at Lonely Beach.
Another interesting activity on Koh Chang is participating in Thai cooking classes led by locals for a day or half a day, priced from 1000-1500 baht. You will be taught thoroughly about ingredients, cooking methods, and at the end of the class, you'll taste the dishes you cooked yourself.
