Close Chrome browser using Task Manager

Step 1: Press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc key combination to open Task Manager. In the Task Manager window, navigate to the Processes tab, find and right-click on Google Chrome, then select End task.

Delete Google folder from Program Files

Step 2: Right-click on the Chrome icon on the desktop, select Open file location.

Step 3: The screen will display the folder containing the Chrome icon, all you need to do is delete all Google Chrome files. Click on Program Files (x86) to view the Google folder.

Note: If you find a different folder on your computer, click on that folder.

Step 4: Delete the entire Google folder.

Step 5: Navigate to C:UsersUsernameAppData. Here, you'll need to open 3 folders Local, Locallow, and Roaming to find and delete the Google folder.

Step 6: Open each folder one by one, then find and delete the Google folder.

Uninstall Chrome browser

Step 7: Press the Windows + I key combination to open the Settings window. Here, select System (display, notifications, apps, power) => Apps & features => find and click on Google Chrome.

Step 8: Choose Uninstall and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the Chrome browser.

Reinstall Chrome browser

Step 9: After completing the uninstallation process of Chrome, restart your computer, visit the Chrome homepage, download Chrome, and reinstall the browser to finish.
