Group call shortcuts in WhatsApp version 2.19.9 for Android were first discovered by WABetaInfo. Previously, to use the group call feature on WhatsApp, users had to initiate 1:1 voice or video calls. During an ongoing call, to add more users, simply press the button at the top right corner of the screen. After the call is connected, the Add Person icon will appear at the top of the recipient's name. Overall, this process seemed a bit complicated.

In the screenshot below, observe a dedicated button positioned in the upper right corner of group chats. Press this button to open a sliding tray containing contact cards of all group members. Here, you can select the usernames of individuals you want to join your group voice or video calls.

Additionally, group call shortcuts are currently unavailable in the latest WhatsApp version downloaded from the official WhatsApp website. The GIF image issue, specifically GIFs breaking, has been addressed in the latest app update.
