The new screen lock feature will require users to enter a password every time they access WhatsApp on their computers. This helps keep users' WhatsApp conversations safe, especially in cases where someone else is using their computer. This also means that the new feature does not apply to other platforms like WhatsApp Web, Android, or iOS.
Additionally, the report comes with screenshots, describing how the interface of the new feature will look. However, because the feature is still in development, some aspects of the user interface are not yet complete.
The password used to unlock WhatsApp for Desktop will not be shared with the messaging platform owned by Meta but will be stored locally. Additionally, the feature will also include fingerprint sensor functionality for Mac computers.
In case you forget your password, you can retrieve it by logging out and logging back into WhatsApp on your computer by scanning the QR code on your phone.
Currently, there is no information available on when WhatsApp will roll out the feature for all users. Mytour will continuously update information about the release date and feature launch. Don't forget to visit Mytour daily.
