In terms of 'Faker fandom,' Hee-chul certainly doesn't lag behind any T1 fan.
Speaking of Faker, there are almost no more words to describe his greatness in the Esports world in general and LoL in particular. Despite transitioning in his career, Faker remains an icon of LoL and Esports in general, of South Korean sports in particular. Additionally, Faker is called the 'idol of idols' as his fans, besides LoL gamers and players from other teams, include idols and celebs from other fields like actor Lee Min-ho, idol Hee-chul…

Referring to the level of 'Faker fanaticism,' in the 'Demon King' fan community, one must immediately mention the name Kim Hee-chul. The former member of the popular boy band Super Junior doesn't hide his admiration for the legend younger than him by… 13 years, even in public media appearances. In fact, Hee-chul is so enthusiastic about 'idolizing Faker' that he once canceled a Christmas party just to attend a show where Faker was invited. In that same show, Hee-chul even called Faker 'hyung' (older brother) - a term used to address older males.
Recently, Hee-chul once again delighted both his fans and Faker's fans by proudly meeting and dining with the 'Demon King.' In the caption posted on Instagram, Hee-chul couldn't contain his excitement, even requesting Faker to 'farm all his minions': 'My star, the one I've learned so much from, from gaming skills to personality to even acrobatics... he's the best! I have even more respect for him after our conversation. My superstar Faker! My idol Lee Sang-hyeok! Stay healthy and happy always, feel free to farm all my minions, I'll always support you!'.

It can be said, within the Faker fan community, it's highly unlikely to find a 'superstar' fan who is as fervent about Faker as Hee-chul. However, this also demonstrates that, even though he may no longer be at the pinnacle of fame, Faker remains an immortal icon in the hearts of fans, especially in South Korea. And even in the future, when he 'puts down the keyboard,' Faker's achievements will continue to endure, within the hearts of the Korean people in general and the Esports community, as well as League of Legends specifically.
