When will Apple release iOS 17.3 for users?

Although iOS 17.3 may not be as feature-rich as iOS 17.2, it still promises to bring some worthwhile improvements for users. So when will Apple roll out this update?

In terms of timing, Apple may release iOS 17.3 for iPhone users on January 22nd. We already have three betas, two of which haven't added anything particularly noteworthy, indicating that there aren't many tests left. If Apple plans to release the update on the 22nd or 23rd, we can expect to see the iOS 17.3 RC version released on January 15th, which is next week.

Apple may also release iOS 17.3 in the week of January 29th, but that's the week when VisionOS and Vision Pro augmented reality glasses will be launched. Apple sometimes links software release updates together, but because VisionOS is an entirely new operating system, it's unlikely to accompany any other updates.

The latest operating system update released by Apple was watchOS in 2015. watchOS was officially released on Friday, April 24, 2015, the same day the first models were launched.

Last year, Apple released .3 on January 23rd and in 2022, the company released .3 on January 26th. Therefore, Apple releasing iOS 17.3 on January 22nd would align with the company's previous release timelines.
