SEA Games 32 features 37 sports with 583 events. Host country Cambodia has released a preliminary schedule for some sports as follows:- The first event of SEA Games 32 in 2023 is football, starting on April 29.
- Sports like sailing and indoor hockey will have matches from May 1.
- 3x3 basketball will take place over 2 days, specifically on May 6 and 7. Following that, regular basketball, karate, and jujitsu will compete for 3 days.
- Athletics starts from May 8 to May 13. Events like walking and marathon will commence on May 16.
- Swimming runs from May 6 to May 11.
- Badminton will compete over 3 days, from May 9 to May 11.
- Diving will be held from May 12 to May 14.
- Water polo, a relatively new sport for many nations, will be played from May 12 to May 16.

In this edition of SEA Games 32, the host country has excluded several Olympic sports events. These include fencing, shooting, archery, rowing, and canoeing,... Additionally, there's the introduction of local sports such as Bokator and Khmer martial arts.There will be 10 sports with preliminary events held before the opening ceremony of SEA Games 32. Furthermore, the finals for men's and women's football will conclude on May 14. May 16 marks the final day of competition for SEA Games 32 with various events across 22 sports.No competitions will take place on the closing day. Particularly, the host country has decided not to field overage players in men's football. Additionally, several sports events will not be broadcasted live during SEA Games 32.
