With the recent release of Call Of Duty Mobile for both iOS and Android devices, there have been numerous reviews and evaluations comparing it with other popular mobile games in the genre, such as PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Mobile.
Comparing Call Of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Fortnite
1. Completion Capability
Each of these games offers different enticing gameplay experiences. PUBG Mobile and Fortnite have been updated extensively in recent years. Call of Duty Mobile is the multiplayer version of Call of Duty Mobile Legends of War, with significant differences in basic gameplay. Fortnite has integrated its entire core system into the mobile version, with the controls of Fortnite Mobile being quite cumbersome. PUBG Mobile is the most complex game among the three. Surprisingly, PUBG Mobile has performed quite well in transitioning its combat mechanism to mobile and simplifying it enough for phone users to play.
Although PUBG Mobile is quite good, Call of Duty Mobile is even better. The game brings an entirely optimized experience for mobile devices, with various play modes. It has a broader focus compared to PUBG Mobile and Fortnite. Its primary game mode is not Battle Royale, but rather a traditional shooting game. There's no time for many people to spend hours playing Battle Royale.
2. Matchmaking System
Regarding this issue, the Battle Royale modes of Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG Mobile face the same problem. At the initial level, both survival games feature the presence of bots, making it take quite a while for players to encounter real opponents. With an easy start, new players will gain confidence more quickly and stick with the game longer than usual. There's no notification that bots are currently present in the match for players.
Due to Fortnite's cross-platform structure, it's certain that there won't be any bots. This structure creates a unified infrastructure across all versions, ensuring a stable player base. There are enough players at all skill levels in Fortnite, even at the beginner level. However, bots will soon be added to Fortnite, as mentioned benefits.
However, the Battle Royale mode isn't everything in Call of Duty Mobile, as 75% of the game is regular shooting mode. With fewer players per match, bots are unnecessary, and players of all skill levels have enjoyable gameplay experiences.
3. Development
Development is crucial in online games, as players need to feel the enjoyment of novelty. Both PUBG and Fortnite on Mobile feature Battle Pass systems, offering challenges and tasks to unlock new accessories and skins.
The development system in Call of Duty Mobile surpasses its competitors by far, making them incomparable. This has always been a strength of the Call of Duty games, and the Mobile version is no exception. The entire map has been brought to the mobile version, along with perks, classes, weapon levels, killstreaks, and more. The game will also utilize Season Pass systems with even more challenges. In this genre, Call of Duty Mobile stands out.
4. CROSSPLAY Functionality
As previously mentioned, Fortnite's strength lies in its ability to play with friends on any version, be it Console, Mobile, or PC. All versions of the game are compatible with each other. PUBG Mobile offers an incomplete crossplay version, as the Mobile version is too different from the PC version. In PUBG Mobile, Android and iOS phones can play together. Call of Duty Mobile is currently weakest in this aspect, as it cannot cross-play between Android and iOS.
5. Controller Support System
While a Controller system is not essential for mobile gaming, having controller support for a shooting game wouldn't hurt. Call of Duty Mobile will soon have it after the trial version is released. This feature was added to the Mobile version of Fortnite some time ago, with the ability to connect all controllers via Bluetooth. Fortnite being a cross-platform game, there won't be an advantage for users of the support system when competing against better opponents.
Fortnite's advantage over its competitors lies in its cross-platform play between phones and PCs, while PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile are two separate games.
