The Singaporean passport continues to be hailed as one of the most hospitably received passports worldwide. Notably, last year, holders of the Singaporean passport had the privilege to travel to 167 out of 219 countries surveyed in the latest Henley and Partners Visa Restrictions Index without needing a visa.
Consequently, the Singaporean passport ranks 6th globally, alongside Australia and Greece, in terms of the number of countries allowing visa-free entry. The more countries permit entry without a visa, the higher the score and the ranking.
It is known that citizens holding passports from Finland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom were among those allowed to freely traverse the globe in 2013, with the freedom to explore 173 countries without the need for a visa. Meanwhile, Vietnam ranked 81st on the list with a score of 45, just above China and several other Asian countries.
Below is the ranking table of various countries based on the Visa Restrictions Index, with the score indicating the number of countries passport holders can enter without a visa.
