Dying Light 2 was conquered in a mere 3 hours and 40 minutes.
After 7 years of eager anticipation, gamers worldwide finally got to experience the sequel to the post-apocalyptic zombie survival blockbuster, Dying Light 2, on February 4th across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. As expected, the blockbuster quickly drew in the gaming community, reaching over 245,000 concurrent players on Steam according to SteamDB, with numbers continuing to climb over the weekend.

Previously, Techland boasted that it would take a whopping 500 hours to fully complete Dying Light 2's content (including main story, side quests, and exploring every nook and cranny). However, if you're looking to speedrun the game, it only takes about 70-80 hours to complete the main storyline.
Despite Techland's grandiose advertising, recently a gamer named OniZombie uploaded a video to their YouTube channel showcasing how they completed Dying Light 2 in just under 3 hours and 40 minutes. At the time of writing, it seems that OniZombie may hold the world record for completing Dying Light 2 in the shortest amount of time.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is an action RPG open-world game with a storyline. This time players get to visit The City - humanity's last stronghold in the fight against the virus. The parkour mechanics allow players to explore a vast open world and master combat tactics. In this lost civilization, set in a dark modern age, creative approaches are required to scavenge for items and craft equipment.

Dying Light 2 has garnered mixed reviews for itself, with some praising its parkour mechanics and improved territorial system since the first game's release in 2015. However, Dying Light 2 still has quite a few bugs, prompting the game developer Techland to encourage players to wait for bug fixes before diving in. Despite its critical reception, it seems that the community's enthusiasm for speed remains undeterred, and undoubtedly, more records will be established and broken in the near future.
