Customizing Who Can Message You on Facebook
Step 1: To control who can message you in the message requests inbox, open the app on your phone. Then, tap on the menu icon with three horizontal lines in the top left corner. In the next menu, tap on the Settings icon
Step 2: Scroll down and find Privacy to continue. You'll be taken to the privacy settings interface for your account, where you should select Message Delivery.
Step 3: Right after that, you'll be able to control who can message you and from whom you'll receive messages. For blocking messages from strangers, you can check and access Others on Facebook or Others on Instagram. If you want to receive messages from these entities, leave it in Message Requests; otherwise, choose Don't Receive Message Requests.
