You'll love Primo Piazza in Khao Yai, just a 3-hour motorbike ride from Bangkok.
Who would have guessed you could discover such a beautiful 'mini Italy' while traveling in Thailand?
When it comes to traveling in Thailand, you might think you've seen it all - bustling Bangkok, traditional Chiang Mai, stunning beach cities from Pattaya to Phuket... But have you considered Khao Yai? If not, it's time to add it to your list and plan a visit to this picturesque city with its charming European-style village, promising to be a hot destination this year.

In Thailand, Khao Yai is renowned as one of the dreamiest and most charming cities. Unlike the bustling energy of Bangkok or the tranquility of Chiang Mai, Khao Yai offers the best of both worlds - whether you seek excitement or serenity. Surrounded by lush greenery, meadows, and even vineyards, most of which belong to Khao Yai National Park - the third-largest park in Thailand.
However, one of the most fascinating attractions in Khao Yai that you must explore is Primo Piazza - also known as 'Little Italy'.

You might wonder why it's called 'Little Italy,' right? Because when you step into this village, you'll be astonished and think you're in Europe rather than Thailand.
Oh look, Italian-style houses, even a castle, streets straight out of classic European films, restaurants, cafes... everything screams Europe. Even the atmosphere and weather in Khao Yai are cool, reminiscent of my hometown Dalat. So, you'll be slightly stunned and surprised, remember to bring warm clothes when visiting here.

Apart from the entertainment spots, to spice things up, you can visit the scattered farms around the city. Enjoy a change of atmosphere, take photos with a European touch, and even feed sheep and horses by hand. Funny enough, every corner here is beautiful, and it's effortless to snap a beautiful photo. Just raise your camera and 'click click...' any angle looks stunning.

When it comes to dining at Little Piazza, it's a lovely topic to share with you all.
Here, you can comfortably enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, from Spaghetti, Pizza, salads, to a cup of rich and aromatic Espresso coffee at cafes along the street. Delicious, authentic, and reasonably priced. You'll only spend between 100 – 400 Baht for each dish here.

Travel Hack
To reach Khao Yai, you must pass through Bangkok first, and the cost for a flight to Thailand is currently extremely cheap. You can spend only 1.5 - 2 million dong for a round-trip ticket. If you're experienced in hunting down zero-dong tickets from major airlines, then your expenses will be even lower.

Many people are seduced by the walls and tiny balconies here.
After arriving in Bangkok, you have 2 options to get to Khao Yai. The first is to rent a small car to take you from Bangkok to wherever you want. Since the cost of renting this type of car is quite high, ranging from 5,000 - 6,000 Baht/car (~3 million - 3.8 million dong), traveling in a group would be more advantageous. If you're traveling solo, you can opt for a bus (departing from Mochit station, every 30 minutes) or a minibus (departing from Victory Monument station, every 2 hours) with an average price of about 300 Baht/person.
