One of the most beautiful night attractions in Hanoi is Ba Dinh Square - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. You can spend time wandering around the streets such as Van Mieu, Dien Bien Phu, Hoang Dieu before stopping to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum at 9 pm to witness the special flag-lowering ceremony.

At 9 pm sharp, the loudspeakers start announcing to stop all activities around the area, and the solemn flag-lowering ceremony begins. At 9 pm, a procession of 34 soldiers in white uniforms marches uniformly to the majestic music 'Uncle is Marching with Us.' After the flag is lowered from the top, the entire ceremony will march to the right and then circle around the Mausoleum to conclude the ceremony.
