On scorching days, venturing into the depths of Chí Stream amidst the natural forests, immersing oneself in the cool, refreshing water... travelers will forget all their fatigue and worldly worries.
Exploring the Pristine Chí Stream in Quảng Ngãi

Chí Stream is located in Hành Tín Đông commune, Nghĩa Hành district, along the Quảng Ngãi - Nghĩa Hành - Ba Tơ provincial highway, just a few dozen kilometers from Quảng Ngãi city.
If starting from Quảng Ngãi city in the early morning, you can stop at Chợ Chùa town for a quick breakfast and enjoy a cup of coffee. Then, crossing the Eo Gió pass to admire the blooming gun flowers by the lake at the foot of the pass, and then continue straight across the Cộng Hòa bridge through Hành Thiện commune into Hành Tín Đông commune to reach Chí Stream located in Trường Lệ village.
Alternatively, if starting from Mộ Đức town, crossing the Đồng Ngỗ pass or from Đức Phổ via the Thạch Trụ intersection into Ba Liên commune (Ba Tơ district) and then descending, the journey will be much closer.
From the provincial road leading to Chí Stream, there is a non-asphalted concrete road stretching over 1km, sufficient for tourist cars and motorcycles to travel. Looking around, you'll see lush green mountains on both sides of the road. In June, the weather brings thunderstorms, and the forest is filled with young shoots.
At the end of the concrete road, there is a spacious parking area by the stream. Visitors can simply relax, admire the sky and the pristine mountains before immersing themselves in the cool, refreshing water.
Chí Stream boasts its pristine beauty, but what's truly unique is the stretch of the stream where tourists can enjoy a leisurely swim over 1.1km, winding through the forest. You can freely choose a stopping point without having to interact with other tourist groups involuntarily...

Chí Stream is situated within a natural forest area under the Sustainable Forest Management Restoration Project (KFW6) sponsored by the Federal Republic of Germany, covering over 1,000ha. This area includes Núi Lớn - one of the historical landmarks closely associated with the legendary Ba Tơ guerrilla team.
The Ba Tơ guerrilla team, originating from Mount Cao Muôn before August 1945, advanced towards Trung Châu to establish the Hoàng Hoa Thám base, before dispersing to conquer the plains, contributing to the success of the August 1945 Revolution in Quảng Ngãi.
Along the streambank, there are military barracks, and on the vast, wild mountains, traces of the guerrilla army's training grounds still remain.
Many young travelers often bypass this spot (where the Ba Tơ guerrilla team set up military barracks during the anti-French era) and continue along the trail towards the east, traversing through the forests to experience the wilderness of the vast mountains, listening to the chirping of birds, and hearing the rushing water at times thunderous, at times gentle beside their ears.
Many people are in awe of the centuries-old Konia trees, so large that three people cannot embrace them, or occasionally come across naturally growing Areca catechu trees in the forest.
Coastal tourists are also surprised when they encounter the resinous Lac tree, whose ivory-colored resin locals gather from the forest to seal their boats and barrels.
After walking for a few dozen minutes along the stream, crossing over 1km, you'll arrive at the Giê waterfall. The waterfall is approximately 24m tall, splashing white foam all year round. In the summer, as the sun rises, its rays shine on the water, making it gleam like strands of silk.
Above the path leading to the top of the waterfall are rocks and the water that has been singing for thousands of years. Tourists stop to rest on the rocks before plunging into the cool, refreshing water.
Many people use forest vines to tightly tie cans of beer and bottles of spring water, then lower them into the water for about 10 minutes before lifting them up to drink, enhancing their appreciation of the cool water.
Due to the untouched stream, there are no entrance fees or services available, so visitors must bring their own food and drinks. After cooling off in the water and enjoying a meal with family and friends, tourists can hammock by the stream and take a nap in the midst of a summer noon.
As evening falls and the forest becomes silent, those returning along the trail will appreciate even more the wilderness of the stream and the mountains, often not forgetting to set a date for another reunion.

Mr. Phan Binh, Secretary cum Chairman of Nghia Hanh district People's Committee, stated that Suoi Chi is included in the province's tourism planning. Currently, the local authorities are inviting investment.
Drawing lessons from many other tourist spots, the district focuses on preserving the pristine nature of the stream and enhancing natural forest protection. Absolutely no construction is allowed to disrupt the environmental landscape.
According to Mr. Dao Thanh Cong, Chairman of Hành Tín Đông commune People's Committee, Nghia Hanh district, with the increasing number of tourists visiting Suoi Chi, visitors are required to ensure environmental hygiene.
Locally, an agreement has been reached for a household to provide parking services for tourists and participate in cleaning the area. With more tourists arriving during the hot season, the Youth Union in the commune organizes monthly clean-up activities.
