Windows 10 Release Preview introduces build 21327.1010: New feature for reading news, fresh system icons
Microsoft has rolled out a new Windows 10 Cumulative Update for Insider Preview users in the Release Update channel, almost making it the official build before releasing it to all other users. In this build, Microsoft brings down the new features tested in the Dev and Beta channels as well as fixes bugs reported by users. One of the notable features is News and Interests, a new feature for reading news that appears on the taskbar. With this new feature, users will have a better experience reading and tracking the latest news and weather. The news section will be curated by Windows for easier access and readability. The interface in this Release Update build has also been updated compared to the previous Beta build, featuring modern blurry color effects instead of the two distinct color schemes.
When seeking more specific and detailed news, users can open their browser with the default Bing search tool. The browser interface has also been redesigned to be sleek and modern. This is considered the primary data source for Windows 10 users, similar to Google Discover on ChromeOS and Android.Next up is Microsoft's new icon set applied with this build, accompanied by a font called Segoe Fluent Icons, designed under Microsoft's Fluent Design philosophy. With this font set, users will notice changes in the Start Menu and Settings, with more rounded and simplified corners. Finally, the new change in this build is for computers running ARRM SoCs, where the default structure of PowerShell is now x64 instead of x86 as before. Otherwise, it remains the same with fixes for other lingering issues.According to mspoweruser.
