This new feature is called Optimizations, designed to make games run smoother in Windowed Mode. Microsoft states that Optimizations significantly improve latency and unlock other exciting gaming features such as Auto HDR and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and it is not activated by default.
Windows 11 accelerates gaming speed in Windowed mode
Users enrolled in the Dev channel testing can now activate and experience this feature early. Simply go to System =>Display =>Graphics =>Change default graphics settings and activate Optimizations.

In addition to the Optimizations feature, the software giant has also added another feature called Windows HDR Calibration, borrowed from Xbox, enhancing the accuracy and consistency of colors in PC games on HDR displays.
As usual, after Microsoft introduces new features on the Dev channel, users will have to wait for some time. Only after the final release of Windows 11 is available can users experience these features.
