In the latest build Windows 11 Beta Channel 22000.194, Microsoft has added the requirement for TPM 2.0 to virtual machines (VMs). This means that Windows 11 running through virtualization will not receive further updates if users do not meet the newly added requirements.

Running Windows 11 on Virtualbox is Feasible
In essence, virtual machines now need to meet the same Windows 11 installation criteria as physical computers. For users of VMWare Workstation, Hyper-V, Parallels, and QEMU, this is not an issue as these virtualization software already support TPM and Secure Boot. However, Oracle VirtualBox currently lacks support for these features, preventing users from using Windows 11 on VirtualBox.

However, Oracle seems to be in the process of developing a new driver for VirtualBox, utilizing the host computer's TPM module to overcome the new Windows 11 installation requirements. Oracle may have recognized the impending need for Windows 11 TPM on virtual machines, officially announced by Microsoft a few weeks later with the Beta Channel 22000.194 build.
Microsoft emphasizes that security is a top priority for Windows 11. This is why they place significant importance on the necessity of TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, extending these requirements even to virtual machines.
