For example, Microsoft is testing a new feature that allows users to view some statistics about VPN connections. Similarly, Mytour also receives a new option in settings to disable pop-up windows of recent searches when hovering over the search icon in the Windows taskbar.
Additionally, Microsoft is testing other bug fixes that will be released to users by the end of this year. For example, the company is exploring a new change that could improve the reliability of flyout windows when hovering over the search icon. Similarly, Microsoft has addressed an issue preventing recent files from appearing when searching for apps like Word.
For File Explorer, the software giant has implemented a change to reduce instances of context menu freezing when right-clicking on files in OneDrive, while also fixing an issue where the shruggie kaomoji ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄ emoji displayed in the wrong position.
The following issues are also being addressed by Microsoft:
- An issue that may result in text rendering problems.
- An issue that may cause deleted apps to return after system restart.
Note that Microsoft is still testing these enhancements, and most changes will be rolled into Windows 11 version 21H2 later this year.
