Inserting Text on the Windows 7 startup screen not only helps you avoid boredom every time you start your computer but also asserts your 'self' to others when they use your computer. You can add any Text, whether it's a motto, a famous quote, or just a greeting, to make an impression on others.
Adding Text on the Win 7 startup screen
Step 1: Click the Start Menu --> type the keyword 'regedit' in the Search Programs and Files section --> click OK or press Enter on the keyboard.
Step 2: The Registry Editor window appears, click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> Software --> Microsoft --> Windows --> Current Version --> Policies --> System
On the right side of the screen, double-click to select 'legalnoticecaption'
The Edit String dialog appears; enter the title for the Text in the Value data field.
Click OK to save the title.
Step 3: Go back to the System window to select 'legalnoticetext'
Enter the content of the Text in the Value data field in the Edit String window.
Click OK to save the content.
Once done, try restarting your computer and check if there's any difference in the computer's startup screen. To change the Text, simply repeat the above steps.
