Today, Microsoft officially releases Windows Template Studio 3.0, the first major update since version 2.0 was released back in April last year. This means users can now get Windows Template Studio 3.0 on their machines and install it.

Introduced in May 2017 to replace Windows App Studio, Windows Template Studio has been continuously enriched with new features by Microsoft.

Introducing Windows Template Studio 3.0 Update

- The Windows Template Studio 3.0 update brings a plethora of new features and enhancements. Below is the full changelog of the update:
- Generated code now structured as a multi-project solution, allowing for better reuse and logic separation, exported as both UWP and .NET Core projects.
- Additional project creation support via right-click.
- Horizontal Navigation View mode replaced with Pivot navigation template.
- MVVMLight updated to utilize .NET Standard library.
- Bug fixes.

Additionally, updates are available for the dev platform:

- AdaptiveCards updated to version v1.1.2.
- AppCenter.Analytics updated to version v1.12.0.
- AppCenter.Crashes updated to version v1.12.0.
- Services.Store.Engagement updated to version v10.1810.16002.
- UI.Xaml updated to version v2.0.181018003.1.
- Json updated to version v12.0.1.
- UI.for.UniversalWindowsPlatform updated to version v1.0.1.3.
