Clearing all old posts on Facebook Timeline:
Download Facebook for iPhone and iPad: get Facebook for iPhone
Download Facebook for Android: get Facebook
Download Facebook for Windows Phone: get Facebook for Windows Phone
Step 1: Click on the (...) icon and select View page as... to see your Timeline as someone who isn't friends with you.
Facebook will reload the interface.
Step 2: You can manually Delete displayed Statuses by clicking the arrow and selecting Delete.
Step 3: Or select the padlock icon. Switch Who can see my future posts to a different setting.
It could be the friends setting. From now on, only friends can see the Statuses you write.
Step 4: To hide previously posted Statuses on Timeline, select the padlock icon, choose See more settings. Then select Privacy ---> Limit old posts.
Step 5: Accept changing old posts to Friends-only mode.
Step 6: All posts are now set to only be visible to Friends. Including your profile picture.
With this trick, you've completely hidden all posts from before on your Timeline, users who aren't friends can't see anything on your Timeline.
Another recent annoyance is notifications about your friends' Facebook Lives. Even if you don't want to watch that Live, the notification still pops up. Turning off Facebook Live video notifications will help you avoid this annoyance.
