Whenever users copy content from an Office application, that content temporarily resides in the Clipboard. Over time, this can lead to clutter. Hence, you'd want to get rid of it.

Consider Clipboard as one of the specialized storage spots in RAM to temporarily store bits of data. When your Clipboard accumulates too much data, you'll receive a notification indicating it's full. Here's how to clean up the Clipboard:
- Open the Clipboard task pane.
- Delete each Clipboard entry.
- Clear the entire Clipboard in one go.
1. Open the Clipboard Task Pane
- This method applies to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications. So, all you need to do is type the desired application name (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) in the Search bar, select and open the application.
- Go to the Home tab and click on the downward arrow icon next to the Clipboard section.
- The Clipboard window opens on the left side of the document, displaying all clips in the Clipboard.
2. Delete Individual or All Clipboard Entries
Here, you can choose to delete individual Clipboard entries or all of them.
- To delete individual Clipboard entries, select a clip, click on the downward arrow button below that clip, and choose Delete.
- To clear the entire Clipboard, simply click on the Clear All button located next to the Paste All button at the top of the Clipboard window.
