The MBX-Z60A mainboard features 2 DDR4 RAM slots, 2 PCIe x16 expansion slots, 1 M.2 2280 slot for SSD, an additional M.2 2230 slot for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth cards, along with 3 SATA ports. On the back panel, it offers multiple USB ports, display output ports (HDMI, DisplayPort, and D-Sub), Gigabit Ethernet port, 3.5mm audio jack, and a PS/2 port for mouse/keyboard.Zhaoxin, a joint venture between Via Technologies and the government of Shanghai, has been granted permission to use x86 instructions in its SoCs. This allows them to substitute Intel or AMD CPUs for use with Windows OS and a plethora of other applications and software. Although not comparable in performance to Intel and AMD, Zhaoxin serves as a viable alternative due to its broad compatibility. In fact, Zhaoxin CPUs have been increasingly adopted in recent quarters due to the shortage of low-end SoC supply from AMD and Intel. Brands like Lenovo have utilized these SoCs to develop thin and light devices used within the government sector and companies controlled by the Chinese government. Zhaoxin's production capacity amounts to tens of thousands of mainboards per month, seemingly enough to meet the demand for government organizations amidst the shortage of U.S. CPU supplies. However, this ultimately remains a stop-gap solution as Zhaoxin SoCs lack the horsepower to meet the demands of high-performance computing.
