With only a mere 1 million gap in the official price at Mytour, it might seem like a strong point for the Redmi Note 10S, but my answer is opting for the Redmi Note 10 Pro instead of settling for the Note 10S.
If the price difference were greater, I might reconsider, but when the two devices are only 1 million apart, I think opting for the Redmi Note 10 Pro makes much more sense. So now, let's explore the reasons behind my choice!
Is it worth trading off for the screen experience?

When buying and using a smartphone, the screen is where almost everyone interacts with the most on a daily basis. Therefore, having a screen that ensures quality is a top priority for me.
With a negligible price difference, yet we're slightly compromised in terms of specs on the Redmi Note 10S compared to the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
Specifically with the Redmi Note 10S, we get a 6.43-inch AMOLED display and the refresh rate is capped at 60 Hz.

Especially for someone who binge-watches a lot on Netflix during the pandemic like me, having the Redmi Note 10 Pro's HDR10 content support is essential.
It makes the colors display sharper, and watching blockbuster movies is even more thrilling on this quality screen.

But there's another point, albeit small, that adds a bit more peace of mind. That's the Redmi Note 10 Pro's screen made of Gorilla Glass 5, so it's slightly more durable than Gorilla Glass 3 on the Redmi Note 10S.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro's camera surpasses the Redmi Note 10S's in every aspect

While the screen part might not have a significant difference, some might argue. However, when it comes to the camera, the Redmi Note 10 Pro outperforms the Redmi Note 10S from specifications to real-world experience.

Source: Vật VờSpecifically, the Redmi Note 10 Pro boasts a quad-camera setup on the rear with 108 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP. Owning a main camera of 108 MP is extremely impressive considering the device falls in the mid-range segment.

When it comes to the quality experience on the camera cluster, there's no need for discussion as it belongs to the top tier of the mid-range segment already. What about the Redmi Note 10S? The device also features a quad-camera system but is slightly trimmed down, namely: 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP.

Additionally, the selfie camera of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is also more impressive with a 16 MP lens compared to the 13 MP selfie camera on the Redmi Note 10S.
Thus, we can see that the camera is a significantly trimmed-down aspect on the Redmi Note 10S, so I advise you to choose the Redmi Note 10 Pro for a complete experience, especially when going out and needing to take many high-quality photos.
The performance of the two devices is comparable, but...

If we only consider the processing performance factor, I assess that both devices are on par with each other and neither one significantly outperforms the other. However, when considering the support issues afterward, it's a different story.

Because these two devices use different chipsets to support their power. The Redmi Note 10 Pro uses the Snapdragon 732G processor, while the Redmi Note 10S uses the MediaTek Helio G95 processor.
As you may know, MediaTek chipsets have always been evaluated unfavorably by users compared to those from Qualcomm. Despite improvements in later generations of MediaTek chipsets, there is still a gap in optimization compared to Qualcomm.

When considering factors such as long-term support or application compatibility, the Snapdragon 732G is more 'benign' and ensures stability and fewer unexpected issues during usage.
So if you want to play it safe, for longer-term use, the Redmi Note 10 Pro still ensures this for you.
With just a 1 million difference, the Redmi Note 10 Pro offers a more worthy experience

So you can see that, even though the price difference between the two products is not much at just 1 million, we compromise a lot in terms of experience on the Redmi Note 10S.
Moreover, these are all essential components that we, as users, use most frequently. So when the price difference isn't too significant, I believe that the Redmi Note 10 Pro will be a more worthwhile choice, providing long-term safety in usage.

But if your budget doesn't allow it, then I think the Redmi Note 10S is still a good choice, especially in its price segment where it still proves to be superior to competitors from other brands.
Above are the reasons why I choose to buy the Redmi Note 10 Pro instead of the Redmi Note 10S when the difference is only 1 million dong.
