(Motherland) - Perhaps no one is more deserving of the GOAT title in the League of Legends realm than Faker.
Faker is currently on the journey to fulfill his long-held dream: winning his fourth World Championship title. After defeating JD Gaming, Faker and his T1 comrades have taken another step closer to this glorious achievement. Notably, it was Faker himself, not the youthful talents like Gumayusi or Keria, who stood out the most in the match against JDG, alongside his favored picks Azir and Orianna.
It's worth noting that despite being the standout performer, Faker could easily feel proud, if not superior, to the current LoL players given his fame and past glories. However, he consistently maintains an admirably professional demeanor, earning respect even from audiences and opponents in rival regions like LPL or LEC. Notably, after the JDG match, Faker's actions made T1 fans proud and international fans, particularly from the LPL, had to 'admire.'
In this regard, the on-site photographer suggested that Faker make a 'thumb down' gesture. However, this was perceived as somewhat arrogant and derogatory towards the opponents. Faker promptly declined with a slight shake of the head. Instead, he stuck to familiar expressions such as the 'thumb up' or pointing at the camera.
Despite being brief, Faker's actions have garnered plenty of praise from the audience, such as 'Why does this guy even have anti-fans?' and 'Now that's our G.O.A.T.' Even LPL fans - the very region that owns the JDG team just defeated by T1, have to admit that Faker's performance was exceptional and professional. For those unaware, Faker is the only player who has never competed in the LPL but has nearly 1 million followers on his personal Weibo page. Additionally, T1-related keywords dominated Weibo on November 12th, after Faker and his teammates advanced to the grand finals.
Faker's greatness in the League of Legends realm is perhaps beyond dispute. And the upcoming match will mark the final journey that Faker and T1 must undertake this season, to reach the glory they have long awaited.
