The play of this professional TFT gamer left the casters surprised and the audience in stitches.
Teamfight Tactics, the beloved side mode of LoL, has gone through 6 seasons and is about to step into 6.5. It's not just a mode for LoL players to unwind after intense matches on Summoner's Rift anymore. TFT is gaining more recognition. Riot even plans to turn this mode into a standalone game, separate from LoL.

TFT has a rare, large community and its own tournaments, from small amateur ones to a world championship for professional players. But because of this, from a game once dubbed as a 'personality game,' TFT demands players to strategize more for victory, alongside the crucial element of luck.

Recently, in a TFT tournament, a player demonstrated not only strategic prowess but also a knack for inducing laughter. Specifically, the player named DQA faced off against another player named Pockygom in a solo showdown during the TFT North America Championship qualifiers.
Both sides fielded Vanguard compositions, so DQA decided to bench his main carries, Jinx and Kai'Sa, confidently relying on the remaining champions to defeat the Khepri Messenger. However, the Messenger, armed with an Infinity Edge, dealt superior damage than DQA anticipated. His remaining team couldn't hold, and DQA ended up 'trolling' himself when the Messenger took him out.
In reality, the decision to bench two main champions to avoid DQA's Vanguard lockdown was entirely correct. However, the player's overconfidence in the remaining lineup led to a literal 'down-to-earth' moment. Not only did they fail, but they also left the casters stunned, and perhaps even their opponent Pockygom, couldn't believe their unexpected victory.
This incident underscores that no matter how carefully calculated one's moves are in TFT, luck remains a fundamental factor. A single mistake or stroke of bad luck can lead players to rue their calculations.
