At 3 PM on August 22nd, vehicles excluding container trucks and those weighing over 20 tons underwent trial runs on the Móng Sến Bridge – the tallest land-based bridge in Vietnam.
Experience the trial run of the majestic Móng Sến Bridge
On August 23rd, the Department of Transport and Construction of Lào Cai Province announced that starting from 3 PM on August 22nd, the Lào Cai – Sapa BOT Investment Company organized trial operation of the Móng Sến Bridge. The Department has requested the investor to inspect the acceptance work to meet the conditions for officially putting the project into operation before August 30th.

Lào Cai Province anticipates that the trial run of the Móng Sến Bridge will reduce the risk of traffic accidents in the three-tier pass area, especially on major holidays such as National Day and the 120th anniversary of Sapa tourism.

From Lào Cai City to Sapa Town, approximately 30 km away, taking the old 4D route requires passing through frequently landslide-prone three-tier passes. The newly completed bridge will shorten the distance from Nội Bài to Lào Cai, ensuring safety for locals and serving as a new tourist attraction for visitors to Sapa.
